| The ASG-SmartEncoder is a DB9 enabled Smart Card programmer/encoder for ID Card Printers with a Contact Station. This is a custom product only available through ASG Global and works with the ACS ACR38 SDK and any printer with a DB9 connector (Evolis Smart, Zebra, Fargo, etc.)
USB Input (CCID Reader) - DB9 Output conforming to ISO7816 1-8 SmartCard Pads
Pins 1-8 of the DB9 connector correspond to pads 1-8 of the ISO7816 specification and pin 9 feeds back a logical 0 (to ground) to let the encoder know that the card is in the proper position for encoding.
The ACR38-SDK will be required for new implementations for this encoder. If your solution already is compatible with the ACR38 reader, then you can order this ASG-SmartEncoder by itself and it will work with your solution. |
